Welcome to Vegard Gjerde's talk on 5th of June at 11:30-12:00 in iEarth møterom in Bergen, Realfagsbygget. Vegard is a postdoc at the Department of Physics and Technology at UiB and will give a talk about his experiences with implementing student active learning in his subject, PHYS111 - Mechanics 1.

Vegard is part of the DIKU project "Prinsippbasert aktiv undervisning for sterkere fysikk- og ingeniørstudenter". As course responsible in PHYS111 he has tried out different teaching methods and teaching materials in order to stimulate specific learning processes with the students. In his talk he will give an overview of his work, present som quantitative results from the project and share reflections from the students.
