Presenter: Andrew Hodson, University Centre in Svalbard
Date: 07.02.2025
Andy has worked in Svalbard since the early 1990's and he has been working at UNIS in some capacity since 2011. His work considers the implications of ground thaw and ice melt for the release of water, sediment and nutrients into runoff. Particular attention is given to glacier hydrology and how the sensitive ecosystems found at the ice margin are influenced by meltwater dynamics.
Presenter: Sarah R. Schmid, University of Oslo
Date: 07.03.2025
Sarah is a fourth semester master’s student with UiO’s education faculty in the program of Education and Social Change: Youth and Development Studies. Together with A. Mattias Lundmark, Sarah has worked on the “learn 2 learn” project, as well as a project surrounding student’s hopes and fears when starting their university studies. This Friday will share some insights into the project with some “how to learn” guidance.
