On 30th october an iEarth delegation consisting of Carly Faber, Jostein Bakke, Siri Tungland, Kjersti B. Daae, Thomas H. Thuesen, Elena V. Brattebø, Kristian B. Bakken and Mattias A. Lundmark attended the annual SFU network gathering arranged by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir) and the SFU Engage, in Trondheim.
The event was held at NTNU's largest hub for student innovation called Gruva at Gløshaugen and started off with introduction of three new Centers of Excellence in Education (SFUs), and dinner on 30th November. The three new SFUs are INTED, SITRAP and CreaTeMe. Jon Gunnar M. Simonsen from HK-dir also had a short presentation regarding the status of the SFU as they were left out of the state budget. On Tuesday 31stOctober we had several presentations from HK-dir and our fellow SFUs on several important topics with reflection groups and paneldiscussions on the comptences required for the future. After lunch it was possible to attend three different workshops, one of the workshops were hosted by bioCEED and iEarth: "You already have the data! Documenting your teaching development does not have to be difficult".
