The Geological Society of London – Higher education network

This year the Higher Education Network (HEN) of the Geological Society’s annual meeting is joint with Diversity in Geoscience, UK (DiG-UK).  It is on the 15th and 16th January 2019 at the University of Leeds.  As usual the meeting will provide a forum for lively discussion and the sharing of good practice between teachers, students, practitioners, employers and other stakeholders.  This year the meeting’s general theme was Good Practice in Inclusion, Diversity and Equality in GEES Higher Education. The goal of the MNT-Conference was to promote the quality and the relevance of mathematics and natural science education through contributing to research based and scientific approach to teaching and learning – SoTL (Scholarship of teaching and Learning). The topic of the 2019-Conference was Constructive Alignment.

EGU General Assembly

Held in Vienna, Austria from 7th to 12th of April, 2019. In 2018, 73 talks were given with the tag “education”.



Arranged in Trondheim from 6th to 7th of May 2019 with the aim to inspire, motivate and show good, new and exiting approaches to teaching and learning at higher educational levels. Hosts are NTNU.



The 13th conference of the European Science Education Research Association took place in Bologna, Italy, from August 26th to 30th, 2019. Read more:
