Students as partners workshop

On November 16th iEarth hosted a digital half-day workshop on Students as Partners. Students and staff from the five iEarth institutions  came together to get inspired and gain a new perspective on the relationship between staff and students in higher education. The workshop explored why partnerships are important, how students and staff can benefit from partnerships, different ways of engaging staff and students in partnerships, and partnership experiences from the international higher education community. .

Dr. Catherine Bovill, University of Edinburgh

The workshop was led by Dr. Catherine Bovill. She is Senior Lecturer in Student Engagement at the Institute for Academic Development, University of Edinburgh and Visiting Fellow at the University of Winchester . She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association and an Editorial Board member for Teaching in Higher Education. She regularly publishes and presents her work on partnership and co-creating curriculum internationally. In 2019-2020 she was a Fulbright Scholar based at Elon University, North Carolina, USA. Dr. Bovill will also be a part of the iEarth educational academy.
