ISSOTL18 – Towards a Learning Culture

The conference ISSOTL18 was for the first time arranged in Norway and in Bergen, and iEarth was there. From October 24th to 27th several of the partners in iEarth and other administrative and teaching staff, in addition to students, from UiB and UiO was present in Greighallen for talks, discussions and learning about teaching and learning. See our contribution to the conference below with presentation abstract and posters.

To quote Minister of Science and Higher Education in Norway, Iselin Nybø, from the opening ceremony “Good teaching is not easy to develop in isolation”. ISSOTL18 provided an important arena to discuss teaching and learning, learn from other teachers and students, and get inspired to try out new methods and solutions in the classrooms.

A big thanks to bioCEED for all the time they have put in to arranging this great event. It was especially fun to see how engaged and involved the bioCEED students were through the entire conferences, both as participants, help and presenters.
